Did you say corruption!!
Oh man, there is too much CORRUPTION! I don't know where we are headed! It's a hackneyed expression. But I wonder,often, do we really care! MOST of us contribute to burgeon this evil.
How many of us choose to pay the challan of Rs 600 even when u know that a Rs 50 note slipped into the policeman pocket will do! How many of us are willing to get our driving licence by following the process of appearing for a test and going to RTO office numerous times, this when u know the guy at the other end is not interested in the process (the only thing he is interested is in his commission out of every licence that rolls out of the RTO office). There have been cases where people made the licence in the name of Prime Minister of India (with his photo of course!) When this came out in media, they are a little strict now(they check that u have a pair of hands and legs with all the fingers intact along with verifying one's natural identity card, your face). Will all this happening are you willing to do ur bit to not let the corruption flourish? If the answer is negative, please don't sulk and complain.
Recently my mobile phone got stolen. I wanted to retain the same phone no. which required me to approach the police and get the copy of the complaint which was demanded by the mobile operator to issue the same phone no. again. So I did the needful and went to register my complaint in the police station. To my astronishment, first I was grilled about the cell phone ( all sorts of question ranging from where did I lose it to the make of the cell phone). I was patient ( I didn't have the option of being impatient in Police station). And then things started to unfold. The constable started scolding me of sorts preaching why do u not take care of ur cellphone ( I have no idea what so ever what made him believe that it is my hobby to lose my cell phone). He continued.. we have a lot of other important things to do than searching ur phone ( I don't expect u to, not even in rarest of my dreams and I think u know it. The only thing I am interested in is the piece of paper saying that I lost it with the police station stamp.) And this followed by another googly. I am asked to get the affidavit from the court stating that i lost my cellphone and then he will register my complaint (God knows. Even if i get it, he may ask something else. May be a letter from Nokia, the manufacturer, verifying that they produce such a model!). This is amply clear at this point that a Rs 50 note will do or even coming to police station again with one of my few uncles who happened to be in police as well will do( the policemen, the so called staff, are like separted brothers in some kumbh ka mela) If you are in such a situation and you choose the easy way out (anyway getting only the affidavit will cost more that Rs 50 plus the effort. Moreover there may be something else required to register such a complaint You never know) do u retain the right to complain if sometime in future, you are at the receiving end of the corruption in the police force? The question again is are you willing to do ur bit to not let the corruption flourish? If the answer is negative, please don't sulk and complain.
Our one more favourite target, corruption in politics. How many of us make it a point to vote every time? They are all demagogues and there is nothing to choose from is the counter argument. True, there is no saint Budha contesting the elections but atleast do ur bit to not let the worst of them win. There are other numerous situations like bribing the TTE in train to leap frog and get a berth if your ticket happens to be in waiting, we choose the easy way out.
I believe that individuals are not to be entirely blamed for the corruption. There are situation where temptations are too lucrative to resist ( people like Vishwamitra got lured in. Moreover now the deal is even more lucrative as along with Meneka there is some money on offer!)The salary of a constable is around 10,000 which is by no means sufficient to live a nomal life along with providing good education to his children ( he also want to send his children to some convent school ). Believe it or not but the salary of Chief Justice of India is 33,000. An average software engineer in a below average company starts his career at a higher renumeration than this nowadays. I take the liberty to assume that Chief Justice of India is not so ordinary and must have been a bright lawyer. How do we expect such people to be faithful to their duties when we know that kinder gardens charge something between 50,000 to 1 lakh for admission in the name of donation. Moreover are we not making it difficult for them to maintain their integrity by acting irresponsibly?
This can go on and on but the question again is are you willing to do ur bit to not let the corruption flourish? If the answer is negative, please don't sulk and complain because you have forfeited your right to do so!!

Problem we know...'Y' is the problem also we know. we know the solution also probly. but how to implement is a BIG BIG Q.
one solution is to change ourselves..very fine,very true but at everyone has their break point depends on issue, mental stability against fighting against cause nd N no of other reasons.
of course it would reduce though this solution is quite distant.
we all should...
one more thing i want to say...things improving too as situtaion demand. time changes,generation changes and it brings some good fortune to this particular problem as one exmaple is to move public sector to private sector in couple of portion in India. economy rises hence govt need to build infrastructure n like that.so we can hope so some more good things to come..
